The Eritrean Community, Cultural, & Civic Center (ECCCC) of Oakland strives to meet the evolving needs of the Eritrean American community through art, educational and cultural programs that foster intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue, cultural identity/tradition, collaboration with other communities, and social justice. The ECCCC mission is to enrich the lives of its members by building an Eritrean identity and promoting the development of meaningful bonds within our community and facilitating connections with Eritrea and Eritreans worldwide.
The ECCCC also provides affordable services and a facility intended to promote displays of Eritrean culture. Its usage, to assist in the integration of the community with the rich cultures on display throughout the East Bay and grow the linkages to the broader community.
The ECCCC is the gateway to Eritrea and the Eritrean community in the East Bay. The experiences it enables through a mix of educational, recreational, and cultural activities enhances the cultural tapestry of the East Bay. All people are invited to participate at their level of interest. Everyone is also encouraged to be involved in the Eritrean community.
