Concerned Eritrean youth from the Young People’s Front for Democracy and Justice – Oakland (YPFDJ-Oakland, a local Eritrean-American youth organization) have compiled various resources to aid newly arrived Eritrean settlers in the Oakland area by making available legal, health and other resources for refugees. Last year, these youth initiated a phone donation drive to help new arrivals communicate with loved-ones and aid in their integration.
